Prior to that, I also worked as an assistant with RVS. I have worked with students from Kindergarten to Grade 9 during my career with RVS. This is my first year at Northcott Prairie School. For the last 14 years, I taught at Prairie Waters Elementary in Chestermere. In the past, I worked with English Language Learners and Early Literacy students as a part-time teacher. When I returned to full-time teaching, I began working with students at the Grade 5 level. I then spent 9 years teaching and inquiring along with the grade 3 students of Prairie Waters. I am passionate about helping students learn how they can take action to help the community. When I am not at school, I love to spend my time watching my 20-year-old daughter play softball and my 16-year-old son play hockey. My daughter is entering her third year at UBC, studying Anthropology and my son is in grade 11 in a French Immersion school in Calgary. I enjoy playing with and going for walks with my border collie, and I also enjoy camping with my family, reading, and working out. I am very excited to be inquiring alongside your child this year at Northcott Prairie School. I am anticipating a great year with much learning and growth for each student as we move through our units of inquiry.
